All students must apply using the same standards. New students, including those coming from honors programs, must take a reading test and meet the required level, take a writing test, and have high academic grades in related courses.
Students in honors classes need to maintain a B grade in all honors classes. If the quarter grade drops below a B, they are placed on probation. If students earn lower than a B grade the next quarter, their schedule may be adjusted to ensure they are in a class that better meets their needs.
It is expected that honors students have a 90% attendance rate. Honors classes are more difficult and are hard to miss. You can expect to have a lot of work to make up if you are frequently absent.
Honors students are expected to maintain exemplary citizenship in all classes.
